[2006-06-01] 'Lost' actress Michelle Rodriguez released from jail early
"Lost" actress Michelle Rodriguez was supposed to spend 60 days in jail for violating probation with a drunken driving arrest. She served less than a day, because of overcrowding.

A spokeswoman for the Los Angeles County city attorney's office says it's "the sad reality" of the county's overcrowded jails.

Rodriguez must still serve 30 days of community service and will remain on probation until June of 2009. Rodriguez pleaded guilty to drunken driving in Hawaii last December. That was a violation of her probation in Los Angeles for a 2004 no contest plea to hit-and-run, driving on a suspended license and drunken driving.

Rodriguez's character was killed off the A-B-C hit show this season.
