Neve Adrianne Campbell was born on October 3, 1973. This Canadian movie star started her career as a ballet dancer at the age of 6. She landed a full scholarship and began training at the National Ballet School of Canada at the age of 9. This led her to quit school, as she was given the role of the Degas Girl in Phantom of the Opera at the Pantages Theater in Toronto.

During that time, she met Jeff Colt, who was the bartender at the theater. They fell in love and soon after, the couple married in London, England during the filming of The Canterville Ghost. In July of 1997, not more than a few years later, they announced their plans for separation, and Jeff moved out. Before hitting it big in the movie business, Neve achieved roles in productions such as The Nutcraker and Sleeping Beauty.

Her career in the movies started with feature films like Paint Cans, Web of Deceit, and The Dark and Baree. In 1996, Neve made the headlines and reached cinematic success with her first two real box-office hits. Her first success was the co-starring performance in The Craft, a film about high school students who experiment with the powers of witchcraft. The Craft received a lot of attention from critics and caught the attention of teenagers everywhere.

Then, just two months later, the sleeper-hit of the year, Scream hit the screen. Scream wowed audiences everywhere and became a cult hit phenomenon. After that, Miss Campbell would never be the same. Scream won MTV's Best Movie of the Year award in 1997. Her fan base went through the roof, and her role as Sydney was soon to become a trilogy, and propel her to worldwide fame.

That same year, Scream 2 was launched and she was poised to become the next poster child for Young Hollywood. Recently, Scream 3 was released, adding to the list of box-office hits in Neve's portfolio.

Apart from the Scream phenomenon, Neve starred in big movies such as Three to Tango, and the controversial Wild Things, co-starring Matt Dillon, Denise Richards and Kevin Bacon. She is now working on the TV show Party of Five, where millions of Americans tune in on Wednesday nights at 9:00 p.m.(ET/PT).
