Amanda Holden was born February 16, 1971 in Bishop's Waltham, Hampshire, England. She trained to be an actress for 3 years at London's Mountview Theatre School before getting her first role in the 85 TV Series comedy "EastEnders." Since she has been in such shows as "The Grimleys," "Kiss Me Kate," and "Happy Birthday Shakespeare," all British based television. She has played the role on the new BBC TV mini series "Hearts and Bones." She continued to appear in many other television shows like "Cutting It" and "Mad About Alice." Recently she has been playing Lucy Eyelesbarrow on Marple: 4.50 from Paddington.
She was nominated for a 2004 Laurence Olivier Theatre Award for Best
Actress in a Musical of 2003 for her performance in Thoroughly Modern
Millie performed at the Shaftesbury Theatre.
Amanda was married to TV presenter and comedian Les Dennis from June 1995 to November 2003.
